Dunk Island offers a variety of resort style accommodation suitable for couples, families and groups. Garden Rooms and Beachfront Rooms both have family configurations while Beachfront Suites are located beachside and offer guests privacy and seclusion.

All 160 rooms at Dunk Island are well-appointed with five grades of accommodation, each with beach or tropical garden views. On this family friendly island children also stay and eat free, using existing bedding.

Dunk Island is also ideal for honeymooners or couples looking for a romantic escape and the Beachfront Suites are particularly suited to couples offering privacy and seclusion as well as easy access to the beach.

Garden Room: Located amongst tropical gardens, a short stroll from the central resort complex and beach. Rooms have an ensuite shower and small outdoor patio or balcony. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed + 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.

Beachfront Room: Located beachside with easy access to the beach, views over Brammo Bay from most rooms. Rooms are on 2 levels - upstairs rooms have balconies and downstairs rooms have a patio and lead onto the gardens and the beach. Combined living and sleeping area, bathroom had combined bath and shower. Also have mini-bar and bathrobes. Bedding is 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.

Beachfront Family Room: Located beachside with easy access to the beach, views over Brammo Bay from most rooms. Beachfront Suite: Situated beachside the rooms offer virtually uninterrupted views over Brammo Bay with direct access to the beach. Set in small groups of four units (two units upstairs, two downstairs). The interior is split-level with the upper level featuring the sleeping area and a comfortable living area on the lower level. Rooms have a relaxed coastal feel with double glass doors leading onto a large balcony. Additional in-room amenities include CD Player, bathrobes and fully stocked mini bar. Bedding is 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.

Dining

Dunk Island has a range of dining outlets that suits all guests staying on the island. Whether is a special occasion, an intimate dinner for two or simply a light snack by the poolside. Dunk Island offers a variety of dining options from casual island style to superb a la carte cuisine and fine wines. The freshest and tastiest ingredients are used to tantalise the most selective of tastebuds.

Beachcomber Restaurant:
Is Dunk Island Resort's main restaurant, and specialises in fresh tropical style cuisine. A buffet breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.00am. 3 course table d'hote dinners are available 5 nights a week (a special childrens menu is available on these evenings) and themed buffet dinners are available 2 nights a week from 6.00pm to 10.00pm.

Plantation Bar and Deck:
Overlooking the beachfront pool, it's the perfect place to soak up the rich, tropical ambience of Dunk. Offering a light selection of gourmet sandwiches, salads, home made cakes, slices slices, muffins, ice-cream, milkshakes, smoothies, coffees and fresh juices. Open daily for drinks from 11.00am till late. Features evening entertainment 6 nights a week.

Cascade Pool Bar:
Located beside the Cascade Pool, the Pool Bar serves an assortment of sandwiches as well as a complete range of refreshing beverages. Operation is subject to seasonality.

The Terrace:
Located below Cascades Pool, this restaurant offers fresh tapas, antipasto and an authentic Italian style menu featuring pizza and pasta. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 3pm for pasta and full salad bar. Pasta not available at lunch time. Dinner service starts from 6.00pm. (Restaurant is open seasonally)

The Jetty Cafe:
Is located at the tip of Dunk Island overlooking the jetty on Brammo Bay. By day the Jetty Cafe is the base for all of the Island's watersports activities. A casual beachside style cafe atmosphere serving lunches daily and featuring fresh seafood cuisine that is fast and fresh.

Poolside Dining:
Surrounding the Beachfront Pool, your outdoor dining experience is served under a tropical night sky. Serving modern Asian cuisine. Operation is subject to seasonality.

Beach Dining and Picnic lunches are also available on request for an additional change.

Dunk Island offers a unique day spa experience - the Spa of Peace and Plenty is set amongst lush, tropical gardens and has been designed with pampering and total indulgence in mind. The Spa of Peace and Plenty is a sanctuary where guests exchange stressed states for tranquility and embrace treatments that renew energies or evoke relaxation.

The Spa of Peace & Plenty combines signature therapies, exotic treatments and ancient arts to nurture the body and enliven the Spirit. With treatment names such as 'Exotic Flower Salt Glow' and 'Bali Coffee Body Polish' every visitor to Dunk Island deserves to spoil themselves in the luxurious Spa of Peace & Plenty. Indulge yourself, rejuvenate body and mind and allow your spirit to transcend with scented oils, gentle music and caring hands. Advanced bookings are recommended prior to check-in. The spa environment lends itself only to those 16 years of age and over.

Golf

Dunk Island has a 9 hole golf course on offer with boardwalks through dense rainforest and greens offering spectacular views of the surrounding islands and mainland. As a National Park within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Dunk Island's golf course has had to meet strict environmental guidelines as well as please those keen to Eagle a par 5 with a chip in from the bunker.

The course layout and design was created by Scott Dowdle, who operates and maintains Queensland's leading international championship course, Laguna Quays.

Make your booking at the Activities Centre, where you may also hire golf clubs and purchase ball and tee packs at an additional change.

Children

If the kids are between 3 and 12 they can join in a Kids Club session and enjoy their own activities and meals. A lot of time is spent outdoors, in the rainforest and on the beach, as well as in the islands sporting complex. On more quiet days the Kids Club has lots of games, movies and crafts to try.

Babysitting can also be arranged with the hotel and is subject to availablity. Please notify Reception at least 24 hours in advance should you require this service.
